Finish Line! (Game Jam Submission)

Here is where I'm running across the finish line! Following a Udemy tutorial every day after work for a week and a half feels like an amazing feat. My game isn't the shiniest, but after I learn so much more, I can come back and update it. In the meantime, I'm going to submit my game to My First Game Jam 2022 two days in advance so that I know it's all squared away before the deadline.

I fixed camera bugs and learned that GetComponentInParent isn't as simple as I thought (and that I'll need to be taught how to use it before I can...use it!) I made GameObjects change color when touching things and this game got me looking into how to set up UI and character rigging and dialogue or game kit systems for the future... Things I might not have looked into for months if not for this game jam! I hope you all enjoy some screenshots of the game's progression. I recorded some footage and might make a devlog for Youtube later on, after I learn a little more and update this prototype a time or two. After I get the assets updated to the fun Default Unity Robot? It's on!

(Edit 1: This just in, one of the itch.io servers are down and I can't upload any images to this log. I am SO grateful to myself from the past that I uploaded a cover image for this project already, and should have no issues submitting my game to the jam... Shedding a metaphorical tear for those not as fortunate, and I hope they get to add their cover images before the deadline!

Edit 2: I cannot submit my game to the jam... Though it is published, my Machine vs Nature game isn't showing up as an Existing Project... Tomorrow this better work! I will otherwise need to contact the Game Jam folks and explain.

Edit 3, Final: The server was down for gasp ten minutes. My game has been submitted! Have some images (that appear broken as I upload them) to celebrate!)
